Crisp lines, smooth finishes, and clothes that feel brand-new

A great press can lift an outfit from “fine” to “flawless.” Our Ironing / Steam Press service gives your garments the clean, structured look you want—without shine marks, flattened textures, or that heavy “boarded” feel. We use professional steam systems, fabric-specific temperatures, and finishing techniques that respect the cut and construction of each piece, so collars stand neatly, pleats fall sharply, and drapes move naturally.

Why our press stands out

Steam relaxes fibres without scorching them. We begin with steam to release wrinkles gently, then finish with a controlled press so the shape sets without stress. This protects delicate weaves, viscose, silk blends, and modern stretch fabrics.

Fabric-specific temps

Linen loves heat; polyester doesn’t. We calibrate temperature to the garment label and fibre blend, and we test on an inside seam if a label is missing. That prevents shine on dark cottons and damage to elastane in stretch wear.

Shape awareness

We press along the garment’s intended structure—following the grain, preserving ease at the armhole, maintaining the roll on lapels. Trousers get even creases, shirts get lifted collars and rolled edges, and sarees are finished edge-true for smooth pleating.

No over-pressing

Too much pressure flattens texture. We avoid “board feel” by balancing steam, time, and contact. Knits keep their bounce; corduroy and velvet retain pile; linen stays lively instead of glassy.

How it works

    • Pickup & notes: Book a slot and add preferences—light/medium/heavy starch, hanger vs. fold, crease on/off for trousers, sari pleat style, etc.

    • Inspection & prep: We check buttons, zippers, trims, and label instructions. Loose threads or fragile areas are flagged. Items are sorted by fabric and finishing method.

    • Steam relax: Wrinkles release under gentle steam; shaped areas (collars, cuffs, waistbands) are prepared with blocks and sleeve boards to keep proportions correct.

    • Controlled press: We press in sections, never dragging across fabric, to avoid seam shine or ripple. Creases are set true—front-to-hem for trousers, knife pleats for skirts, uniform shoulder lines for shirts and blouses.

    • Finishing touch: Optional starch is sprayed evenly, not soaked, for a crisp hand that still breathes. We test the feel before final set so you don’t get cardboard collars.

    • Hang or fold: Office wear and ethnic wear are hung on size-matched hangers with guards; casuals and knits are folded to reduce hanger bumps.

    • Quality check & pack: Buttons fastened, collars aligned, sleeves matched, hems smooth—then packed with airflow protection so pieces arrive as crisp as they left the table.

    • On-time delivery: Standard windows are dependable; add Express Service when you’re racing the calendar.

What we handle well

  • Shirts & blouses: Standing collars, rolled edges, aligned plackets, and smooth back yokes without press-through at seams.

  • Trousers & chinos: Sharp centre crease (or crease-off if you prefer), smooth pocket mouths, flat waistbands, and hem lines that sit right on the shoe.

  • Suits & jackets: Lapels are shaped with steam and blocks, not crushed. We preserve the roll and canvas; sleeve creases are kept clean, not doubled.

  • Ethnic wear: Sarees (pleat-ready, edge-true), kurtas/kurti, salwar sets, dupattas (flowy without static), lehenga panels (crease-less hang).

  • Linen pieces: Heat + steam balance that keeps texture alive while giving a refined, wearable finish.

  • Delicates & blends: Silk, viscose, modal, rayon, satin, and stretch blends pressed with low-glide shoes and protective cloths to prevent shine.

  • Home linen finishing: Tablecloths, napkins, runners, and pillowcases—flat, square, and guest-ready without stiff board edges.

  • Uniforms: School and work uniforms with consistent creases, name-tag areas kept flat, and collars that stay up through the day.

What we handle well

  • Care that extends garment life

Clothes last longer when they’re washed correctly. We avoid aggressive cycles for delicate fibres, prevent colour transfer with proper sorting, and steer clear of over-drying. The result is less pilling on knits, fewer loose threads on seams, and colours that look like themselves wash after wash. If a garment needs extra care (like turning denim inside out or using a mesh bag for hooks and trims), we do that too.

    Hygiene you can trust

Laundry is personal. We keep it that way with batch-wise processing and thoroughly cleaned drums between runs. Our staff wear gloves when handling soiled loads and use defined “clean” and “not-yet-clean” zones to prevent cross-contact. Detergents are skin-friendly and rinsed fully; softeners are used sparingly so towels remain absorbent and clothes feel comfortable.

    Drying done right

Drying isn’t just “make it hot.” It’s where shape, feel, and fit are set. We rely on moisture-sensing and fabric-specific settings:

    • Low-heat, longer cycles for synthetics and blended knits (prevents shine and shrink).

    • Warm finish for towels and bed linen (keeps them fluffy, not crispy).

    • Air-tumble for pieces that only need de-wrinkling after a gentle wash.

And when the weather is cooperative, we incorporate filtered-air conditioning to reduce lint and dust, then finish with a short tumble for softness.

    FAQs

Is steam safe for all fabrics?
Steam is generally safer than dry heat, but we dial it down for silk and some viscose blends. If a label forbids steam, we switch to low-heat, shielded presses or air finishing.

Can you remove shine from a garment that was over-ironed?
Sometimes. We can often soften mild shine on cottons and wool with steam and a velvet board. Permanent glazing can’t always be reversed, but we’ll try the safest method first.

Do you press pleated skirts and sarees to be “ready to wear”?
Yes. We align pleats, set them evenly, and return sarees edge-true. Tell us how you like your pleats (narrow/regular) and whether you want the saree pre-pleated for quick draping.

Will heavy starch make my shirts uncomfortable?
Heavy starch is a style choice. We apply it evenly and recommend Light or Medium for comfort and breathability—especially in warm weather.

How are buttons and zippers protected?
We press around hardware, use protective shoes, and avoid direct contact with high heat. Delicate shell buttons and decorative pieces are shielded.

Can I combine press with dry cleaning?
Absolutely. If an item needs solvent cleaning first (wool suits, structured dresses), we route it to Dry Cleaning and finish with a steam-set press.
